Sport Specific Training
Every sport requires different muscular function and development. With young athetes, the focus must be placed on Dynamic Postrual control to ensure proper muscle recruitment and injury pervention. Fitness Origins’ has a simple 4 stage progressive design to meet that need.
Our design for Elite Athletic Advancement:
-Stage 1: Dynamic Postural Control. As stated above, the number one need for young athletes is Dynamic Postural Control. Postural control is the groundwork from which all movment is built around. Therefore, we must take the time to lay that groundwork soundly and effecitively if we wish to ensure proper mechanics and functionality. In this stage we focus on the athletes Coordination, Balance, Stability, Agility,and Accuracy. Once acheived, the athlete will be ready for anything the sport, or life, can throw at them.
-Stage 2: Joint Stability Training. This stage sees added weight baring activities to slowly help recruit more muscle fibers to aid in the protection of vital and active joints i.e. knees, shoulders, ankles. Ligaments and tnedons take longer to strengthen and heal due to low blood flow. Therefore, only through a progressive approach can proper joint stabilty be acheived. The benefits of this stage are Injury Prevention,Flexibility, Increased Muscle Endurance and Recruitment.
-Stage 3: Aerobic /Anaerobic Threshold Training. Not all sports are alike, and therefore not all athletic demands are the same. However, there is one common need in all sports-Stamina. Whether it is the bottom of the 9th, the fourth quarter, or the first race of the year, your body has to be ready to perform. Our Aerobic/Anaerobic Conditiong System is the best there is to get you to that point. We focus not on Long-Slow Distance, but rather high intensity interval training. The rewards of such programming are endless. We will increase your Speed, Strength, Endurance, Strength Endurance, and most of all Stamina in less time and with less impact stress on your joints.
-Stage 4: Rate of Force Production. This is the final stage due to the explovise demands on the body. In order to reap the benifits of power training the body has to be primed. All roads of sport efficency lead to here. Core to extremity prowess leads to better swinging and throwing velocity, more explosiveness of the line and more quickness on the field.
